Sleddog Tours

Sleddog tours on sleds are starting in December if snow conditions are good enough,
but booking is already open!

In order for the booking process of the sleddog tours to be successful, you must follow the steps below
Before you book, you have to know firs the location of the tour and how to get there!

How to get on the sleddog tour?

1. Check where the starting point of the tour is located
2. Figure out how to get to that point (rent a car or use buses from Tartu Coach Station to bus stop Saki
If you are coming from Tallinn, take a bus to Tartu from Luxexpress, if you want to come from Tartu by bus, find the best time for you using the time table. There are buses from Tartu and back only on Wednesday and Saturday so that you can have a tour at 13.00
3. Read thoroughly the information about the tour
4. Book the tour if you like it. Press the button below.
5. Fill the booking form and wait for an invoice to your e-mail or request for additional information.
6. Pay the booking fee (20% from total) by bank transfer. Booking fee is not refundable if you will cancel your booking!
7. Your tour is booked when the payment has been received.
8. In case we have to cancel your tour because of weather conditions (not enough minus temperatures and snow), we will inform you not later than 48 hours before your tour and will offer you a new time for your tour or refund 100% of the paid amount
9. In case we don’t get response from you during 3 days after booking, we will cancel it.

Mandatory equipment

winter clothing (warm underwear and layered clothing, jacket and trousers have to be warm, wind and water proof)

winter boots (at least 2-3 sizes bigger than usual, there have to be enough space for 1 pair of wool socks at the temperature above -5 degrees and for 2 pair of wool socks at the temperature below -5 degrees)

winter gloves (warm gloves at the temperature above -10 degrees and warm mittens at the temperature below -10 degrees. For kids at age 13 years or younger mittens are mandatory at any minus temperature!)

In case you don’t have the chance to get the required equipment yourself, let us know and we can rent you a limited amount of equipment!

DAY TOUR

Available only from April to May and September to November

Includes a dog with equipment, campfire and an outdoor meal after the tour, sauna, a room with camping beds and linens
Temperature limit +20°C

Your travel options

1. by CAR – Check where the starting point of the tour is located, read all details and send a request to book a tour for a date you prefere

2. by BUS – If you are coming from Tallinn, take first a bus to Tartu from Luxexpress
If you prefere a DAY TOUR, you can come only on Wednesday or Saturday and take the bus from Tartu at 11:10 to bus stop SAKI at 12:22. After the tour this bus will go back to Tartu at 15:28 (on Wednesday) or 15:43 (on Saturday).

If you prefere an OVERNIGHT TOUR, you can come on any day of the week taking a bus from Tartu at 18:10 to bus stop SAKI at 19:17. Next morning you can take a bus back to Tartu at 7:53
